Child & Youth Programs
The Child and Youth Program aboard MCAS Yuma offers a wide variety of programs for children and youth. All programs serving food participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) through the state of Arizona. The programs offered include the Child Development Center (Bldg 1085 - CDC Director - 269.2350. Children 6wks to 5yrs), Youth Center (Bldg 1050 - Youth Center Director - 269.5390. Before and after school childcare programs, children 5 to 12yrs). Preteen & teen activities include programming from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Other programs include Family Child Care Home Based Child Care (Bldg 1071 - Family Child Care Director - (269.3233), and Resource Referral/Supplemental Programs & Services (Bldg 1071 - RRSPS Director - (269.3234/269.3251) dealing with registration and information about community child care options and after hour contracting for organizational events.
MilitaryChildCare.com (MCC.com) is a Department of Defense website for military families seeking child care. It enables families to update and manage profiles online to search for and request child care. MCAS Yuma is one of the first installations, after the pilot program, to go live with MCC.com. All requesting child care must do so through this site.

The MCAS Yuma Child and Youth Program, which includes two Child Development Centers, a Youth Center, and a Family Child Care Program, announces the sponsorship of the USDA Child and Adult Food Program. Meals will be made available to enrolled children at no seperate charge withour regard to race, color, national orgin, sex, age, or disability. - Child Development Center
Offers full day and hourly care programs for children 6 weeks through 5 years old (pre-kindergarten age). Vacancies are filled by Resource and Referral from a waiting list that varies in length by age and program. To apply, please visit the Resource and Referral Office in Building 1071 next to the Child Development Center (CDC). The Child Development Center is the first program in the Marine Corps and the third in the Department of Defense to be accredited by NAEYC under the new comprehensive standards.
- Family Child Care
The Family Child Care Program (FCC) offers an alternative to center based care. Providers are trained, certified and monitored by the Family Child Care Program Director. They are qualified to offer child care in their homes aboard the installation and off base. FCC providers offer a variety of planned group and individual activities tailored to meet children’s development needs.
- Youth Center
Youth Center offers a variety of activities for school age children and youth. Offerings are broken down into 5 components: before and after school care, hourly care, school aged camp during school breaks, pre-teen & teen programs, and contracted classes.
