Welcome to the Youth Center

Here at the Youth Center we are dedicated to quality program. The safety and well being of your child is our first priority. Our center has an "open door" policy and we encourage visits and interaction from you here at the center. There are video cameras that continuously monitor and record area. Children can be viewed from these if parents are reluctant to interrupt the child's activity.

Membership Cards

We want to create an atmosphere where youth who spend time in the Youth Center really feel like they are part of the club. Staff members hope that having membership cards will foster a sense of ownership and pride and that our members will become actively involved in planning activities and events as well as general care of the Youth Center. Accountability of youth for the facility and equipment is imperative for the continued maintenance and equipment upgrades necessary.

Youth membership gives access to the youth center, events, activities and other incentives to include membership discounts to special events like Bingo Casino, lock-ins, pool parties, Mardi Gras and much more. Membership cards will help us keep track of daily usage for things like activities, equipment (video games, sporting equipment) pool, and foosball. Youth will be responsible for the equipment they check out and its’ replacement if damage due to neglect or misuse.

The Swipe System

Youth will be required to use their membership card for entrance at the Youth Center. There is a small black box at the front desk for “swiping-in”. Youth not bringing their membership card will not be able to attend until they have their card. If their card was lost or stolen, parents are responsible for calling the Youth Center immediately to arrange for a replacement card. The cost for a replacement card is $5.00.


Drop-In Childcare

The YC typically has space available for drop-in child care. Reservations for these spaces are taken one week in advance in hourly increments on a "first come, first serve" basis. Reservations start at 6:00am on Monday mornings. Reservations may only be made during regular care hours. Available hours are identified by times that Yuma School District is not in session. Reservations have to be canceled with 24 hours of notice or a $10.00 non-cancellation fee is applied.
